Zig-zag scarf

I also crocheted Rebecca a scarf for Christmas! It’s my own design! Here are some pictures of it and also the pattern in case anyone ever wanted to make one like it.

Hook size: H8
Length (w/out fringe): 50 in.
Yarn: Red Heart medium worsted

Ch 197
Row 1: Ch 3, *Sk next st, Ch 1, Dc in next 15 st,* repeat section between the asterisks until the end, End with 1 dc.
Row 2: Ch 3, Dc 1, *Sk next st, Ch 1, Dc in next 13 st, Sk next st, Ch 1, Dc in next st,* repeat section between the asterisks until the end, Sk next st, Ch 1, Dc in last st.
Row 3: Ch 3, Dc 2, *Sk next st, Ch 1, Dc in next 11 st, Sk next st, Ch 1, Dc in next 3 st,* repeat section between the asterisks until the end, End with 3 dc.
Row 4: Ch 3, Dc 3, *Sk next st, Ch 1, Dc in next 9 st, Sk next st, Ch 1, Dc in next 5 st,* repeat section between the asterisks until the end, End with 4 dc.
Row 5: Ch 3, Dc 4, *Sk next st, Ch 1, Dc in next 7 st, Sk next st, Ch 1, Dc in next 7 st,* repeat section between the asterisks until the end, End with 5 dc.

Fringe and Edging:
Ch 1, turn to short end and work 10 sc evenly across, turn
Ch 40, Sl st in first 2 sc on short end, *Ch 40, Sl st in last sc worked and next sc,* repeat section between the asterisks to last sc, Ch 40, Sc in same sc.
Turn to side, Sc in each dc, turn to opposite short end, work 10 sc across, turn
Work chain loop fringe same as first end, fasten off.
Join yarn with Sl st to first st of unworked side (starting chain edge), Sc in each lp of starting ch, fasten off, weave in ends.
