Bleeding Tissue Paper Art
- Draw or write on a piece of paper with white crayon.
- “Paint” over the entire page with water.
- Lay down squares or strips of bleeding tissue paper.
- “Paint” over the tissue paper with water.
- Wait for it to dry. Then peel off the dried tissue paper. What’s left behind is a beautiful watercolor-like painting, but the white crayon repels the water and colors, so it shows through!
TIP: The bleeding tissue paper can be messy. It did seem to stain our hands for a short while after doing the project, so just be aware of that. Also, don’t tip the paper while it’s still wet! Depending how wet the paper is, the colors will run off and drip everywhere. ;)
